MEET HAYLEY
Thirteen-year-old Hayley is smart, energetic and determined, but an unwieldy wheelchair meant she often missed out on activities other

children take for granted. She was unable to play sport – her passion – or go out easily with her friends and this led to her feeling isolated and frustrated.
Not any more. Today Hayley is an avid basketball player, thanks to a new lightweight sports wheelchair. She plays for her county team and is determined to represent Team GB one day.
Hayley’s mum Susan says the wheelchair has transformed Hayley’s life. As well as her developing basketball career, she is able to enjoy activities with her friends and do more things for herself, which has boosted her self-esteem.
