ROSALYNN SUPPER CLUB, LOS ANGELES Ex-tech professional Jasper Lynn loved to host friends for dinner. A pandemic passion project with chef friends turned into the Rosalynn Supper Club. The supper club became so popular he now runs events up to four times a week at different pop-up locations around LA. The menu features Californian dishes with Asian flavours. Dishes that have won guests over include wagyu picanha and cinnamon-fried pink pineapple. The drinks are just as creative as they upcycle used ingredients such as the lard from Iberico pork, which is fat-washed with bourbon. USD$165 per person. @rosalynnsupperclub

THE SEWING TIN, NEW YORK Chefs Akhil Upad and Aditya Mishra both worked at Michelin-star restaurants in New York City but wanted to step out of the kitchen and connect with customers. The Sewing Tin supper club was born. They now serve up South Asian food in creative spaces in Brooklyn. The club is named after the iconic Danish biscuit tins that parents upcycled into sewing tins and left many a child in search of snacks disappointed. The chefs have chosen to refill these tins with tasty items for hungry guests, including citrus spiced salmon or jhol momos. Each six-course menu is paired with four equally delicious cocktails, such as a Chai Espresso Martini. US$195 per person.

ELEVEN98, LONDON Chef Aidan Brooks came home to London’s East End to launch the Eleven98 supper club. Each Friday, the sustainability-minded chef serves 12 guests a tasting menu in his art- filled home. Each ingredient for this locavore menu comes from local farms or is foraged by Brooks. Guests are welcomed with a cocktail such as Respect Your Elders, which features foraged elderflowers and gin. A fresh menu is uploaded each week, but previous guests have been wowed by torched Manor House brassicas, pangrattato and mustard mayonnaise, followed by rhubarb cheesecake. £78 (US$104) per person.

HAAWM, BANGKOK Even Brit pop star Dua Lipa has popped into Haawm in On Nut – the hottest supper club in Bangkok. It’s run by self-taught Thai-American cook Dylan Eitharong, who whips up a sensational seven-course Thai menu. The vibe is so good other Thai chefs will drop by for collaborations. Dishes have included a southern Thai sour curry with tiger prawns and torch ginger flowers, and green mango salad. Guests can bring their own bottles. About 2,800 baht (US$86). @haawmbkk
CHEF KUV’S SECRET SUPPER CLUB, DUBAI Chef Kuv pioneered one of the first supper clubs in Dubai. The architect-turned-chef, who was born in Bahrain, hosts guests in his own home. His varied seven-course menus range from Lebanese to Caribbean cuisine. While guests don’t know what they are going to eat, they can expect a table laden with flowers, themed books and candles. Guests often include repeat visitors as the ever-changing menus (270 so far) give people an excuse to go back.
