Purpose
To reduce the incidence of waterborne diseases in rural communities in Gezira state, Sudan, by providing water purification units and training.
To sponsor production of AFED’s Annual Report and 2018 conference titled Financing Sustainable Development in Arab Countries.
To support the Arab Coordination Group’s Procurement Committee.
To help participants attend an AUDI Conference: Small projects and Productive Families as Development Enablers in Agadir, Morocco.
To promote the adoption of a battery-less solar power PV irrigation system across Senegal.
To increase productivity, resilience and marketability of micronutrient rich legumes in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Nepal. The project will benefit about 30,000 households.
To support an education program for more than 300 Syrian refugee children at the Saad Nayel Educational Center.
To help fund education and protection programs for refugee children in Lebanon. The project will target 1,700 Palestinian and Syrian children, in addition to children from disadvantaged families in Lebanon.
To support the production of an Arabic-English dictionary of economic terms.
To support the participation of 12 interns from Yemen, Sudan, Palestine, Djibouti, Mauritania, Somalia and Syria in RCREEE’s Arab Program for Sustainable Energy Youth (APSEY) - Phase III.
To help finance the expansion of the Saudi Center, which provides courses, cultural activities and a Braille library to visually impaired girls and women.
To cover participation costs of 30 delegates from African developing countries in Lisbon, Portugal.
To improve the effectiveness and coordination of mini-grid sector support and help OFID facilitate collaboration on mini-grid investments while tracking impact and performance.
To cover the administration and maintenance of UNCITRAL’s Transparency Registry for Investor-State Disputes.
To fund the restoration, digitization and analysis of documents from the Jerusalem Sharia Courts by the Centre for Documents and Manuscripts.
To co-fund a study that will explore the integration of refugees and asylum seekers in Greece; a session of Law, Justice and Development Week 2018; and the development of a business model.
