GRANNYCORE In a world that often feels rushed and digitally driven, every Tuesday we will slow down and focus on rediscovering the joy of hands-on skills and meaningful connections. Grannycore is a warm, nostalgic space where participants learn traditional skills and crafts that evoke the wisdom and creativity often associated with our grandmothers. We will dive into cross stitch, crochet, fixing a button, hemming pants, gardening tips, making your own pickles, and much more! FAMILY FILM FRIDAYS Cool off during the hottest summer months and relax at the library for free, family-friendly movies, snacks, and social time with neighbors. Your attendance also earns you points towards your Summer Reading Program goals!

WIGGLERS TO WALKERS (AGES BIRTH – 2) Babies, toddlers, and their caretakers are invited to join us for short stories, songs, rhymes, and movement in this language enrichment program designed to boost brain development.

PRESCHOOL STORYTIME (AGES 3 – 6) This high-energy, interactive program is designed to help get your child kindergarten-ready through a combination of picture books, educational activities, cooperative skill-building practice, and play. Bring your dancing shoes and loudest singing voices! Check the library’s website for our special themed Storytime events.

LETTERS TO CHARACTERS (AGES BIRTH – 12) Visit the “Letters to Characters” Station and leave a letter in the mailbox for your favorite storybook characters! A new character is featured every week over the summer and personalized replies from the characters are available for pick-up at the Information Desk every Tuesday for the previous week’s character. Visit the library's website for a list of upcoming characters.
STEAM LAB Explore your SMART side with a variety of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) activities and projects. Activities are open play, but staff will be on hand for guidance. Please be aware that materials used are age specific and caregiver supervision is required. In June and July, we’ll have activities to beat the heat, and you can stay afterwards to enjoy icy treats outside in the shade!

BLOCK PARTY (AGES 5 – 12) Block Party, sponsored by the Arizona Science Center, has joined the STEAM Lab! Bring your engineering skills to the library every fourth Thursday of the month for Lego building with pals!

READING DRAGONS KIDS CLUB (AGES 5 – 12) The library’s Reading Dragons Kids Club rewards reading with trading cards. Stop by the information desk to pick up your Starter Pack or to collect your weekly set of cards. Join us on the fourth Saturday of each month for Kid’s Club meetings to design characters, play games, win prizes and create lore for your collection!
