In September 2024, the Avondale City Council created a Citizen Bond Committee made up of Avondale residents, tasked with evaluating future capital improvement needs. Their role is to make recommendations to the City Council for a potential general obligation bond election in November 2025. Here is a quick timeline of the Committee’s activity.
DECEMBER 2024 – MARCH 2025 The Citizen Bond Committee meets to discuss future projects and bond financing options to be recommended to City Council.
APRIL 2025 The Citizen Bond Committee makes a recommendation to City Council. The City Council may vote to place a question(s) on the November 2025 ballot.
NOVEMBER 4, 2025 If approved by the City Council, the recommended question(s) authorizing future bond sales will be presented to voters for approval.
What is a bond?
A bond is a financing option that can be used by the city to fund the construction of improvements like new or expanded parks and trails, police and fire facilities, or other critical infrastructure.

ABRIL DE 2025
El Comité Ciudadano de Bonos hace una recomendación al Ayuntamiento Municipal. El Concejo Municipal puede votar para incluir una pregunta o preguntas en la boleta electoral de noviembre de 2025.
4 DE NOVIEMBRE DE 2025 Si el Ayuntamiento Municipal lo aprueba, la(s) pregunta(s) y recomendada(s) que autoriza(n) las futuras de ventas de bonos se presentarán a los votantes para su aprobación.
¿Qué es un bono?
Un bono es una opción de financiamiento que la ciudad puede usar para financiar la construcción de mejoras como parques y senderos nuevos o ampliados, instalaciones policiales y de bomberos, o otra infraestructura crítica.
