ENDOWMENTS POWER STUDENT SUCCESS


Donors to the MTC Foundation provide many types of support, but the most long-lasting is to create an endowment that serves as a kind of “savings account” for the future. This money is invested so that only a portion of the investment earnings is spent each year, with the intent that the overall value of the fund increases over time. This means the money available to spend from the fund increases too.


This year, several new endowments were created by donors who wanted to leave a legacy of on-going financial support. “We started this endowment to support our community and to honor our parents who believed so much in the benefit of an education. Our hope is that this fund will allow generations of students to further their studies at MTC,” said Dr. Edward Moore who, along with his wife Shelley, funded the Moore/Shuster Family Endowed Scholarship.
