THE NEXT GENERATION OF COLLEGE STUDENTS


FAIRFIELD PROMISE PROGRAM


In the 2020-2021 academic year, 27 students were awarded full scholarships through the Fairfield County Promise Program. The Promise Program is a scholarship program funded through Fairfield County and the Fairfield County School District in partnership with Midlands Technical College. The scholarship provides financial assistance to eligible citizens of Fairfield County to attend Midlands Technical College and enroll in complete Academic degrees, diplomas or certificate programs. Eligible students receive full scholarships through the program after all applicable federal and state financial aid has been applied.


DUAL ENROLLMENT


In the 2020-2021 academic year, 933 Dual Enrollment students were enrolled at MTC, an increase of 30% from the previous year. Dual enrollment students made up 9% of the total student body. Dual Enrollment allows qualified public, private, and home-schooled students an opportunity to participate in an accelerated academic program. With Dual Enrollment, students pursue an advanced curriculum that may earn the student high school and college credit simultaneously. Prospective students must meet with their high school counselor and submit all required documentation and credentials before registering for courses.
