Integrated Media selected MTC’s Debbie Walker as one of 21 women of distinction among
leaders from the Upstate, Midlands, and Lowcountry. Walker leads one of the largest divisions of the college, managing the entirety of MTC's resources. "Debbie inspires young people day in and day out at MTC," said Dr. Ron Rhames. "While that is important, even more impressive and inspirational is how she handles business. In many cases, Debbie steps up and makes the difficult decisions when others are willing to 'pass the buck.'"

Benedict College presented an honorary degree to MTC President Dr. Ron Rhames during its 151st Commencement Convocation in May 2021. The recognition came
with unanimous approval of the Benedict College Board of Trustees.

KIM BOATWRIGHT MTC Executive Assistant to the President
Boatwright is a 28-year employee of MTC, working in several critical
roles including her current position as Executive Assistant to the President and college leadership team. In her role as the president’s executive assistant, she plays a major part in the important work between the college’s board and the president.

their volunteer and civic work.” In Henson's profile, he offered the best advice he’d ever received from a mentor. “Good leaders serve those they lead. A good leader in any organization must have the mindset that they truly and sincerely work for their employees and not the other way around,” said Henson.
