STUDENTS CHOOSE MTC

What makes MTC the top choice for students of almost all ages in the Midlands?

Diverse programs taught by qualified instructors, revamped advising techniques, and campuses built with students in mind. The college’s most recent student satisfaction survey responses prove it.

For the past three Fall terms, MTC partnered with Ruffalo-Noel-Levitz (RNL) to administer its proprietary Student Satisfaction Inventory (SSI) online. From 2018-2020, more than 2,400 students completed surveys regarding instruction, campus environment, process-function, and advising.

Here’s why students say they choose MTC.

INSTRUCTION > Faculty are knowledgeable in their fields. > There is a good variety of courses provided on this campus. > I am able to experience intellectual growth here.

CAMPUS ENVIRONMENT > The campus is safe and secure for all students. > Students are made to feel welcome on this campus. > This institution has a good reputation within the community.

“This kind of detailed research is critical to helping us understand what is important to our students. We have to know what we are doing right and actively identify areas where we can seek improvements.”

Dr. Mary Holloway Vice President Student Development Services

PROCESS/FUNCTION > Admissions staff are knowledgeable. > Tutoring services are readily available.

> The assessment and course placement procedures are reasonable.

ADVISING > My academic advisor is approachable. > My advisor connects my program of study to my career goals. > My academic advisor helps me select appropriate courses.
