How Do I Know If I’m Doing It Right? You can ensure that you are making a sound correctly, by using your senses of
1. Feeling (what your speech muscles are doing) 2. Seeing (what your speech muscles are doing in a mirror) 3. Hearing (the sounds you are making and comparing them to a native speaker)
(your speech muscles are all the muscles in your mouth you use for speaking) Watch the video to find out more
The course is designed to help you understand how new sounds should feel, how they look, and how they sound.
Once you are in control of your speech muscles – and understand the feedback you are getting from your senses – then it will be much easier to know if you are making the correct sound or not.
The Articulation Exercises (like those you did in Lesson 2) will help you gain more awareness and control of your speech muscles.
