Lucas has risen through the ranks to associate
director level in just three years.
He leads complex client engagements while mentoring colleagues and playing a pivotal role in recruitment – helping build the multi-award- winning Cortus team.
As the Wellbeing Champion for Cortus, he promotes open conversations about mental health and creates a culture of balance and resilience, encouraging colleagues to share personal wellbeing strategies.
By engaging with universities, delivering career talks, and preparing school pupils for interviews, he also is helping to nurture future talent.

Niamh Allen became MD of
Sustainable Smart Technologies (SST) in 2023, leading the company through its acquisition by Sustainable Investments.
She heads a nine-strong team specialising in advanced monitoring solutions for energy, air-quality and building occupancy and is overseeing expansion with new wins in sectors including aerospace, public buildings and social housing.
Niamh is an active industry voice and her ‘buy- local’ philosophy has prioritised Lancashire- based jobs and supply chain partners.
Rachel Westray Site Communications Manager, Westinghouse, Preston

Rachel, a strategic
communicator, is a founding member of the Lancashire Combined Authority’s Business Board, and is also part of the Lancashire Innovation Board.
In February, she welcomed the Prime Minister Keir Starmer and energy secretary Ed Miliband to Westinghouse’s Springfields site as they launched their next phase of UK nuclear development.
Within the first six months of joining the business she was invited to join the leadership team, then one of only three women.

Jack joined the company straight from college in 2018 with no
prior experience of the world of work.
He now manages a team of 25, leading a £6.5m operation including fabrication, joinery and order processing to deliver jobs all over the world, focusing on high-end residential and commercial fit-outs.
He has played a key role in the growth of the company, adding nearly double revenue year-on-year and has been instrumental in the launch of its e-commerce business.

She has created a transformational training programme for the corporate team, which is now central to how the department develops its people.
Often acting as project lead, co-ordinating cross-departmental teams, she also drives firm-wide process improvements, introducing practical solutions that make work smarter.

Sinead Watson Tax manager, PM+M, Blackburn
Sinead is a chartered tax adviser with 17 years’
experience, specialising in share restructures, inheritance and capital gains tax planning, and remuneration strategies.
She manages team members at all levels, nurturing their development and celebrating their progress.
Sinead is also a driving force behind PM+M’s ‘Positive Impact Programme’, which supports community projects across east Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
Tom Myers Managing director, Eco Providers, Longridge
Tom took full control of Eco Providers in 2023 and since then
the high growth retrofit and renewable energy firm has gone through rapid expansion.
He has doubled revenue, impact and team size in just 12 months and now leads a team of more than 110.
He has helped Eco Providers to win several awards and was named Leader of the Year at the Octopus Energy Partner Awards, helping thousands of families escape fuel poverty.
