DON’T JUST TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT

TURNING NETWORKING INTO A REFERRAL- GENERATING MACHINE
HOW BIG IS YOUR MARKETING TEAM?
One of the best ways to get new business is from word of mouth referrals.
There’s no cold-call hostility, you’ve already established trust through the person who referred you, and you know there is a genuine opportunity for business. The only downside is, knowing how to get them. That’s where BNI comes in.
If you are part of a BNI chapter (group) with 25-30 members, you’re not trying to network with them, you’re networking through them and all their connections. Think about how many people you know, now multiply that number by the other members in a BNI chapter. That is the true reach of BNI.
MORE THAN A NETWORKING GROUP
In addition to access to a room full of peers who want to support you, we teach you to become experts at marketing your business by word of mouth, through access to our regular training events and podcasts, helping you learn the business fundamentals.
BNI gives you one more, crucial thing that business owners struggle to find on their own, accountability. Attending a meeting, following a structure and being accountable

to each other is one of the main benefits of BNI. We are often told by our members they value this as it’s what makes them successful both in BNI and in their business.
The idea of being accountable can seem daunting at first, but BNI’s tried and tested structure over 40 years is the same across all chapters globally, because it works. In our region, BNI members have passed over £30m in invoiced business over the past 12 months, and this will only keep growing.
BECOME A PROBLEM SOLVER
“Before I go, is there anything else I can help you with?”
BNI doesn’t just add value to you by generating new business, it adds value to your clients through your new connections. Within a BNI chapter, you will build relationships with all manner of business types, all without competition. What this means for your clients is that you’ll develop a reputation of knowing someone for everything; you will be who they come to when they need advice about a leaky roof, planning their retirement, changing a deed. Through your BNI connections, you are increasing your value to your existing clients and strengthening that relationship every time you can refer them to someone else and solve their problems. That kind of credibility is invaluable for a growing business.
And when you start generating referrals for other members, you will start receiving more referrals in return. ‘Givers Gain’ is our core principle, and it’s the reason that any of this is possible; if I give business to you, you will give business to me.
“Since setting up my own legal consultancy practice six years ago after leaving one of the largest law firms in the UK, BNI has generated more than 100 times the total membership
fees paid in that period. I can think of no other opportunity that would have provided a better ROI.”
Alan Lewis, Constantine Law
“I was extremely anxious my first visit and didn’t feel confident speaking in front of 35 people. Despite the nerves, I joined in 2021 and my
business has grown tenfold. As a mother of three, everything I do is for them. Thanks to the unwavering support, love, and motivation from the group, I’ve been able to provide experiences I never thought we could afford, including an upcoming family trip that has been on my wish list for a very long time.”
Laura Malik, FLD Workwear
“BNI is about ‘Givers Gain’ and over the last few years, I have been thanked for more than £1m worth of business passed to members in my region. When you’re noted for passing
a lot of business on, people remember you and are more inclined to pass business back. I had a goal to pass twice the amount received over my membership. I am very happy to acknowledge that BNI has contributed £500,000 of revenue to my business. We must remember we’re in business to make money, it’s great to give, but we grow in business by what we gain.”
