Pierce has announced the appointment of Lucy O’Gorman as accounts director, further strengthening the firm’s senior leadership team across its offices in Blackburn, Bolton and Manchester. She joins the business advisory and accountancy group with 18 years of experience in accountancy practice.
Blackpool-based energy consultancy Trident has strengthened its leadership team as the business positions itself for its next phase of growth. Alexandra Mottershead has been promoted to head of procurement and supplier services.
Darwen based print firm Empine has appointed Emily Yates as its new marketing manager. Emily will lead Empine’s marketing strategy across brand development, customer engagement, content creation and market positioning.

In the cloud team, Dylan Fraser-Kelly has been made manager, Anya Holden is now a supervisor and Sophie Sandiford steps into the role of adviser. In the audit department, Jack Groundwater and Harry Yates have both been promoted to senior adviser. Rebecca Cowell has been made senior credit controller in finance and Georgia Flatley moves into the role of executive in PM+M’s marketing and business development team.
Accountancy and advisory firm MHA has appointed experienced restructuring and business recovery professional Nicola Clark as a partner. A qualified and licensed Insolvency Practitioner, Nicola has more than 20 years’ experience in restructuring and recovery, advising lenders and the directors and shareholders of businesses facing challenges.
Accrington based CMAC Group has appointed Hannah Bermudez as director of people to shape the group’s people strategy across the UK and Europe. She brings more than 16 years’ experience in senior HR roles across both the public and private sectors, most recently as director of people and operations at Salford City Football Club.
Eric Wright Facilities Management has appointed two new board directors to strengthen operations and growth. Drew Hird has been appointed technical director and Roger Lancaster is commercial director.
Lancashire businessman Steve Smith has started a new role of fundraising coordinator at charity Aphasia Support. The managing director of Accrington based Anthem Engagement suffered a stroke on holiday to Disneyworld in November 2021. Four years on, he is still recovering living with Aphasia, right- side paralysis, and fatigue.
Napthens has made two new senior hires to strengthen its family and private client teams across Lancashire. Shakeela Bi and Rosemary Johns will join the family and wills, trusts and probate teams, respectively, working alongside department heads, Helen Lucking and Farida Isaji.
Lancaster brand and digital consultancy EXP has appointed Thomas Foster as graphic designer. Thomas joins the award-winning agency from his previous role at the BBC in MediaCity, Salford, where he headed up graphic design for CBBC Newsround.

WNJ, Preston headquartered accountants and business advisers, has appointed Ben Kilbride as associate as it continues on its growth journey. Ben, a former student of Nelson and Colne College, has been a member of the WNJ team at its dockland offices since May 2015, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in early 2025.
