A pioneering discovery from Altham is inspiring a modern creation. Moorside Craft Gin, handcrafted in Lancashire, draws its roots from the groundbreaking work of Lydia Becker, the suffragist and botanist who grew up at Moorside House and her correspondence with Charles Darwin.


Kingswood Homes has completed the purchase of phase 10 at Green Hills in Blackburn, marking the final land transaction at its flagship development, nine years after the first purchase was completed in December 2016. Over the nine-year journey, Kingswood Homes has acquired nearly 700 plots on the site.

Hotfoot Design in Lancaster has been appointed to design and develop the new website for Hudson Valley Shakespeare (HVS), an acclaimed professional theatre company based in New York’s Hudson Valley. The new website will launch this year to coincide with the opening of HVS’s first-ever permanent home, the Samuel H Scripps Theater Center.
