MEET THE STARS OF THE 2022 RED ROSE AWARDS
The Red Rose Awards returns to Blackpool’s Winter Gardens on June 9.
It’s not a full year since we were there last - it’s considerably less, in fact. A shortened timeline as we attempt to return to our usual calendar following the disruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
But don’t make the mistake of believing this means we have any fewer good news stories to share. If anything, we have more than ever.
The best of the very best - the winners of each of our 23 awards - will take to the stage to collect their trophy on the night, to the cheers of more than 1,000 guests.
Selecting the winners from the shortlist has been an incredibly difficult task for our panel of independent judges.
There are so many businesses who have displayed resilience, ingenuity, innovation, growth, grit, determination, who have grasped the opportunities presented to them, who have survived sleepless nights when things looked bleak, who have used adversity as a platform for success.
Simply put, there are more worthy organisations than we have trophies to hand out.
So here, in advance of the ceremony, are a selection of the hopefuls in the running. We gave them the opportunity to tell you about themselves
in their own words. Who they are, how they’ve succeeded, and why they’re looking forward to this year’s Red Rose Awards.
The winners will be kept a closely-guarded secret until the night itself. If you can’t be there with us enjoying fine Lancashire fun, food and entertainment, you’ll be able to follow along on social media (hashtag: #RRA22) and there will be a full report with pictures in the next edition of this magazine.

We’re a Lancashire-based charity working in partnership with like- minded organisations to tackle inequalities and help residents benefit from active lives. By working with our partners, we engage, influence and inspire others to change behaviours, building on the positive impact that increased physical activity can bring to individuals and communities.
Our achievements
The effects of the pandemic have amplified inequalities across our Lancashire communities and made significant long term impacts on mental and physical health, particularly in east Lancashire and our coastal towns. Through our innovative projects, we continue to grow and develop products and services to improve lives in the county, whilst ensuring our team is happy, engaged, connected and can have a say. The growth seen in recent years demonstrates how what we do is essential in the county’s recovery, with its long term benefits supporting the economy and stretched health service.
