Marsden Building Society is celebrating the early success of its solar energy initiative at its principal office in Nelson, delivering environmental benefits in just four months. Installed by Lancashire-based Green Shield Group, the solar panels have already generated 23,000 kWh of clean electricity, with 13,000 kWh used onsite. Any surplus energy is fed back into the grid to support local demand.
Blackpool-based Top Gun Tools and Fixings, a specialist supplier of professional power tools, fixings, and fastenings, has continued to make progress on its path to Net Zero with ongoing support from the Blackpool Net Zero Business Academy. Top Gun has completed the transition to 100 per cent LED lighting and added two electric vehicles to their fleet.

Rossendale Council has appointed Casey as the main contractor to deliver the Rawtenstall Market redevelopment, a key project within the town’s masterplan and a major investment in the future of the town centre. Casey will take responsibility for the site from January with works expected to be completed in early 2027.
