The company’s deal with a franchise operation has seen SpudBros Express outlets opening in London, Liverpool and Sheffield, with a network planned across the country. Further down the line there are overseas targets, including Las Vegas and Amsterdam.


The brothers’ father Tony Nelson says: “Things have developed so quickly and it really shows the power of social media. I don’t really get it but the boys do, they really understand it and how to use it to drive momentum.

In December the business unveiled plans to partner with Blackburn billionaire Zuber Issa’s petrol forecourt business.


The SpudBros Express concept can now be found on EG On The Move petrol forecourt service stations in Blackburn and Wakefield. The two trial stores are a pre-cursor to a possible nationwide expansion.

Closer to home the SpudBros new-look tram is about to make its appearance on the Flag Market. The business won planning permission last summer for the new shipping- container design and it is set to become a city centre landmark and attract even more interest from their global fanbase.
