Some of the brightest young business minds came together on Lancashire Business Day with their eyes firmly on the future.
The group take part in activities through Sub36 – our ongoing campaign to champion and connect the county’s rising talent.
Lucas Thornley of Cortus Advisory, which offers a full-suite of M&A services, was joined on stage by Ellie Smith of HR consultancy Anthem Engagement and Khadija Patel from Pierce business advisory and accountancy group.
They all featured on the pages of our magazine in 2025 and they recounted their stories again in a panel conversation. The trio also gave tips to other young business people – and those employing them.
Lucas spoke of the need for coaching and helping people come through in their businesses.
Khadija highlighted the importance of new experiences and told the audience: “Don’t be scared if you are not comfortable or confident.”
And Ellie said it was important for young business professionals in Lancashire to “be yourself.”
