Case study
company to provide a degree
apprenticeship programme in 2018”
Our apprenticeship programmes provide both
work knowledge and personal development. Malina joined us as a part-time waiter while studying at university, and enjoyed it so much that she wanted to pursue hospitality as a career, so joined our non-graduate management programme while completing her Level 3 Women in Leadership apprenticeship attached to it. Red Carnation was the first hotel company
to provide a degree apprenticeship programme in 2018. Employees can gain a fully funded, debt-free Chartered Management Degree while experiencing multiple departments. India is a brilliant example of this. She experienced housekeeping, food and beverage and reception, and is now going into her third and final year of university and the apprenticeship. It has been a great success, so much so that we have launched a new degree apprenticeship tailored to a Hospitality Management Degree. Hard work, loyalty and dedication are highly rewarded and each hotel hosts
monthly tea parties for every team, where champion our employees of the month and managers of the quarter.

Carnation was the first hotel
“Red
Arella, Front Office Manager “I started my journey with Red Carnation Hotels in 2019 as a degree apprentice, joining the front office team of its flagship hotel, the Milestone Hotel & Residences. In the short time that I was there, I fell in love with the hotel and the industry itself. “Over my three years as an apprentice,
I was able to experience many different aspects of the hotel, including housekeeping, front office, guest services and food and beverage. My love for front office grew and after my graduation I became the guest services manager at the Milestone. I have recently been promoted to reception manager and I am facing new and exciting challenges every day. “There is no more rewarding feeling than making guests’ experiences even more special, and Red Carnation Hotels continues to support my personal and professional development.”
