Traxo releases SME solution


TRAVEL DATA AGGREGATION and itinerary intelligence specialist Traxo has launched a new solution designed to help SMEs monitor and manage their business travel activity. Traxo Connect for SME is a corporate


travel data management solution designed for companies with under US$10 million in annual travel spend and/or unmanaged programmes. Based on Traxo’s existing platform, the new tool includes Traxo Filter, which provides real-time data capture when employees book travel, whether they book direct or through online meta-search tools. The solution integrates hotel price monitoring by Tripbam, which ensures companies can rebook rooms if a lower price becomes available.

satisfaction ratings fall


THE CAA HAS FOUND THAT OVERALL satisfaction with flying has fallen over the last two years. The fifth UK Aviation Consumer


Survey reveals passengers are particularly unhappy with the way airports and airlines respond to disruption and delays, with the proportion of satisfied customers dropping from 90 per cent in spring 2016 to 83 per cent in spring 2018. Respondents revealed that


their onboard experience is a key driver of their satisfaction, with passengers typically less happy with the in-flight experience than other aspects of flying – 77 per cent said they were satisfied in the latest survey (81 per cent in 2016).

AIR ASTANA’S NEW DUBLIN ROUTING


KAZAKHSTAN NATIONAL CARRIER Air Astana is set to connect the country with Ireland through a new interline agreement with Lufthansa. Under the agreement, passengers will be able to fly from Dublin to three Kazakhstan cities via Frankfurt with a single reservation. Lufthansa offers multiple daily flights between Dublin and


Frankfurt, while Air Astana operates seven flights per week to Astana, two to Atyrau and one to Uralsk with Boeing 767 and Boeing 757 aircraft, which offer Economy, Economy Sleeper and Business class seats.


CENTTRIP ADDS BASE CURRENCY


INTERNATIONAL PAYMENT COMPANY Centtrip has introduced a base currency function to its multi-currency account, with cards


available in euros, US dollars and sterling. Centtrip says a mixture of base currency cards can be associated with accounts, which allow companies to deposit, hold and manage 15 currencies simultaneously. All card-related fees were formerly only applied in pounds, regardless


of a corporate client’s base of operations. With the new functionality, fees will be shown in the chosen base currency, avoiding the need for conversions and making financial statements more transparent. Centtrip claims the base currencies will also save clients time when reconciling employee expenses, making reporting more efficient.


Regional differences were also


uncovered in the research, with 89 per cent of passengers flying from the North East of England satisfied with their flight compared with 76 per cent in the East Midlands and 78 per cent in Wales. The CAA also revealed aviation


is improving how it deals with dissatisfied customers – 50 per cent of respondents said they were confident of fair treatment if things go wrong (up six percentage points). Satisfaction with how complaints


are handled is at its highest level on record – 64 per cent of respondents said they were happy with how a grievance was dealt with – up from 53 per cent in the previous survey.
