Delta Air Lines serves more than 180 million customers each year. It has invested heavily in airport facilities, global products and services, and technology to enhance the customer experience. With a global network spanning 309 destinations in 53 countries, Delta Air lines is committed to being a good steward of the environment.


Delta’s innovation in biometric and facial recognition stood out, as well as punctuality, and the number of new routes. It appears to be “branching out” with its global outlook outside the US domestic market, judges said.

Business Airline of the Year EASYJET


easyJet is Europe’s leading short-haul airline and a top FTSE 100 company. It operates on more than 1,000 routes to 154 airports across 33 countries, with a fleet of 314 Airbus aircraft. Employing some 10,000 people, easyJet flies more than 83 million passengers a year with an innovative ap- proach and friendly customer service.


easyjet is committed to working with corporates, the judges agreed, and has shown innovation surrounding data analytics as it creates partnerships with buyers. It seemed unlikely a few years ago, but is now a reality.

Best Specialist Business Travel Service INTERNATIONAL SOS – EVENT SUPPORT

Offering tailored support services, a dedicated 24/7 assistance centre and notching up 123 per cent increase in business convinced the judges International SOS Event Support were once again worthy winners of this category.

AirPortr is a digital service aimed at changing the way people travel to and through the airport. Integrated with four leading airlines in the UK, AirPortr collects passengers’ baggage from their home or office and checks it in on their behalf. This allows passengers to travel to the airport luggage-free, skip the bag-drop queues in the terminal, and pick up their belongings in the normal way at their destination.


It was felt AirPortr’s product was of benefit to all, offering a convenient and environmentally-friendly service, with the judges all saying they would use it!

Best Sales Account Management Team FCM TRAVEL SOLUTIONS


FCM is a leading global TMC providing tailored travel management services to medium to large national and multina- tional clients. The UK sales and account management team’s focused approach has enabled it to win record new business in 2017/18, securing UK clients worth £130 million and multinational client wins worth £250 million. The team also ensured 98 per cent client retention.


The judges felt FCM Travel Solutions’ year-on- year performance, adding £130 million-worth of new business in the UK, reflected the highest service levels. A terrific team.
