Laser marking system
Sciamed is working with Laser Lines to demonstrate the Datalogic Ulyxe laser marking system and workstation at the IDSC Conference.
This system allows text and GS1 compliant barcodes to be marked directly onto the surgical equipment. The permanent mark is resistant to chemicals, body fluids and cleaning processes.

The laser is suitable for marking a variety of materials including stainless steel, adonised aluminium, titanium and plastics. With no ongoing consumables as the laser marked codes last for the lifetime of the product, this makes for a cost-effective system which can be used for the identification and tracking of surgical instruments and trays.
