Following visitor feedback in 2023, IHEEM has taken steps to improve the online ‘Plan my Visit’ tool. The new version for 2024 is more user-friendly and robust, and will allow registered attendees to create a personalised itinerary from the content available with their type of ticket. Over 200 organisations exhibiting this year The exhibition at Healthcare Estates is the UK’s largest showcase of products, services, and information for the healthcare engineering and estates management sector. Here you can meet over 200 exhibitors, and discover the latest products and specialist services for every type of project in healthcare engineering, and estates and facilities management. The 2024 exhibition is expected to be the largest in the event’s history, with a number of new exhibitors alongside the many top companies who support the event year after year. To help visitors navigate the huge number of exhibitors in the exhibition Hall, the Healthcare Estates floorplan is organised into industry ‘zones’. These been refreshed and expanded for 2024 to provide visitors with the most comprehensive coverage possible for equipment, products, and services, to meet current and future challenges. The Exhibition Zones for 2024 are: Design & Construction; Energy & Sustainability; Facilities Management; HVAC & Engineering; Software & Smart Hospitals, and Water & Infection Control. Visitors can pre-plan their time in the


exhibition by exploring the interactive Exhibitor List on the event website. This online tool includes exhibitor profiles,


contact details, and additional media, and the list can be filtered by supplier category or searched alphabetically, to identify the suppliers, products, equipment, and services, you are looking for. At the end of Day 1 of the Exhibition,


all visitors to the event are invited to the complimentary Networking Drinks, kindly sponsored by Currie & Brown. Served in the Delegate Catering area, this is an informal networking opportunity, and a chance to catch up with colleagues after a busy day at the event.


The exhibition seminar programme The exhibition hall will also feature dozens of free-to-attend seminars on themes aligned to the six industry zones.


n The Design & Construction Theatre (sponsored by Gerflor) features content curated by Architects for Health, as well as sessions from Gerflor and Ridge & Partners. Topics covered include: human-conscious design; designing for wellbeing; improving the translation of research into clinical practice; proactive community healthcare; how technology can transform hospitals for staff wellbeing; a joined-up approach to mental health services provision and community wellness, and the impacts of the NHS NZC Building Standard.


n The Energy & Sustainability Theatre features content curated by The Carbon & Energy Fund (CEF), and will feature six CEF member Trusts discussing their journey to Net Zero to date, and their approach to the future, as well as information and updates direct from CEF.


n The Facilities Management Theatre features content from a range of organisations – including universities, global technology leaders, and consultants and companies working in partnership with, and/or supplying into, the NHS. Topics covered will include: estate challenges for the new Government over the next five years; the impact of infrastructure on society; sustaining high-quality healthcare amidst capacity, efficiency, and sustainability challenges; lighting design; emergency lighting; fire strategy and how AI can assist; ‘going green’ in the hospice estate; enhancing patient experience through better design in waiting areas; managing mid-life PFI and PPP arrangements, and delivering MMC in complex non-linear NHS environments.


n The HVAC & Engineering Theatre features content from NHS Trusts, ICBs, and a range of national and multinational manufacturers and companies specialising in power supply and energy management. Topics covered will include: future-proofing cancer care; the impact of legislative and design changes on standby power solutions; future-ready solutions for enhanced clinical space management and power systems; the role of heat networks in decarbonisation; how the NHS can harness new technology to operate air-handling units, and achieving lifetime operational savings and more, for no additional cost.
