Procedure: To make Part A, combine all gums and glycerin to form a paste, add water with stirring. Homogenise 10,000 rpm for 1 min/100g to make a gel and then add preservatives and Arlacel LC and heat to 80°C. Once at 80°C homogenise 10,000 rpm for 1 min/100g. Transfer to a water bath and heat at 80°C for 30 minutes. Heat part B to 80°C and add to Part A with stirring. Add Part C when below 40°C. Adjust pH to 5.0-5.5 with 10% Citric Acid. Properties: Appearance: Beige Cream; pH: 4.5 ± 0.5; Viscosity: 17,000 ± 10% (T-C spindle, 10rpm, 1 min.); Stability: 1 month at 50°C, 12 weeks at RT, 40°C, 45°C, and 5 x - 24 hour freeze-thaw cycles

Procedure: Weigh and Heat Part A to 75°C in bain-marie. Weigh and mix Part B. Pour Part B into Part A with normal rotor stator stirring for one hour. Weigh and heat Part C to 75°C in bain-marie. Active Part A+B with a very strong rotor stator stirring during 1 min. Add Part C into Part A+B, with rapid rotor stator stirring. Weigh and add Part D, to the previous part, mix well. Weigh and add Part E to the previous part, to around 45°C, mix well. Weigh and add Part F to the previous part, mix well. Properties: Appearance: Off-white opaque viscous cream; pH: 5.80 ± 0.5; Viscosity: 300.000 cps ± 10% Sp.93, 2.5rpm, 1 min, 25°C, Brookfield DV-I Prime; Stability: 3 months at 4°C, 25°C, 45°C and 1 month at 50°C; Centrifuge 10min @ 3000rpm and 1 x -80ºC/+25ºC 24 hours freeze-thaw cycle and autoclave 20min @120°C
