February, 2018 Excelsys Adds 600W Bulk Power to CoolX Supplies
Hampstead, NH — Excelsys Technologies is now offering a new output module for its CoolX series of convection-cooled, modular configurable power supplies. The CmE bulk power module provides up to 600W of power from one module (occupying three slots). The addition of this module greatly increases product and system flexibility for design- ers. It also reduces total system cost through reduced component count while simplifying config- uration and system integration. Initially available with a 24V output, the
CmE module provides up to 25A output. It is use- ful for applications that require one higher power output with additional lower power outputs, which can be configured between 2.5 and 58V using the existing CoolX modules. The Excelsys CoolX600 power supply series
offers system integrators flexibility with its analog and digital management using PMBus monitoring and control capability. Mounting options include

base, side and DIN rail alternatives. The CoolX600 is available with full safety cer-
tifications to UL/EN60950 and UL/EN60601 3rd and 4th Edition (EMC) for both industrial and medical applications. Medical features include BF rating (body floating), dual fusing, 2X MOPP, and less than 300 µA leakage current, as well as optional ultra-low leakage current of 150 µA. Additional features include SEMI F47 com-
pliance and operation at 16,404 ft (5,000m) alti- tude. A 24W standby power output, available as either 12V or optional 5V, which offers another output for system intelligence, cooling fans, dis- plays, etc., is a standard feature. The CoolX600 can be populated with up to
four CoolMods, providing up to five isolated DC outputs ranging from 2.5 to 58V. The CoolX600 is completely user- and field-configurable with plug- and-play power. Outputs can be configured to the required set point voltages and connected in paral- lel or series for higher output current and/or high- er output voltages.
