Alpha Develops Solder Paste for Ultra-Fine Features

Somerset, NJ — Alpha Assembly So- lutions has introduced its newest sol- der paste for ultra-fine-feature print- ing and reflow applications. ALPHA® OM-347 is an ultra-cleanable, no- clean, lead- and halogen-free solder paste material that can print and re- flow type 4 and type 5 powders, meeting the needs of customers that require ultra-fine features. According to the company, OM-

347 is one of the first solder paste for- mulas specifically designed as an ultra-cleanable, no-clean material. It has an expansive reflow process win- dow that provides excellent soldering on CuOSP with coalescence on a broad range of deposit sizes. The ma- terial also exhibits good random sol- der ball and mid-chip solder ball re- sistance. The new material provides

print volume deposit reliability, of- fering value to customers by reduc- ing the defects that can come from

process variability. Contact: Alpha Assembly Solu- tions, 300 Atrium Drive, Somerset,
