EAST LONGMEADOW, MA — CERAMICSPEED radial bearings are designed to last up to 8 times longer than traditional radial bearings. Custom-made for electri- cal motors, CERAMICSPEED Insulate™ radial bearings protect against damage to the race, balls, and retainers resulting from high voltage arcing, especially when variable frequency drives are con- trolling the motors as speeds con- stantly change, exacerbating arc- ing. Insulate’s silicon nitride ceramic balls are 400% smoother, 128% harder, and feature an insu- lation rating of 15 kV per mm com- pared to 1 kV per mm of steel balls. Because ceramic balls are harder and smoother, they have a lower coefficient of friction and run at 10 to 20 degrees Celsius lower temperatures, extending the life of the lubrication. This allows for up to 50% higher speeds, and con- sumes less energy. These features contribute to an ROI (return on Investment) that is typically real- ized in the first lifecycle of a tradi- tional bearing. FDA and USDA compliant
