INSPECTIS Launches XY Stands for Large Area Inspection
DEEP RIVER, CT — INSPECTIS AB announces the availability of new compact XY stands that pro- vide large area inspection possi- bilities in confined environ- ments. This new, space-saving configuration has been popular with mobile phone base station manufacturers who need to in- spect very large area boards. Inspectis’ new HD-370 and
HD-380 compact XY stands pro- vide large area inspection capa- bilities in confined environ- ments. Being able to place a dig- ital microscope camera where it is most effective is a key advan- tage of Inspectis’ product capa- bility, exemplified by the range of stand and mounting solutions available. ITW EAE Wins Award for Tilt and Rotate
LAKEVILLE, MN — ITW EAE is proud to announce that it has earned a Vision Innovation Award for Camalot’s Tilt and Ro- tate dispensing technology. This new, innovative system reduces wet out areas, improves capillary flow for underfill and provides access to dispense on side walls, underneath, or around tall com-
ponents. The award presented by SMT China Magazine recognizes the creativeness exhibited within the design. PCB designs are ever more
challenging for dispensing with increased component densities, reduced material keep out zones, and a broad mix of component heights. The Prodigy’s Advanced Tilt and Rotate option solves all these challenges with its patent- ed design and closed-loop opera- tion that offers a higher level of control and functionality than al- ternatives. State-of-the-art rotary actua-
tors provide a fast, high precision, zero backlash mechanism that al- lows articulation of the dispense pump in sub-degree increments in both axes. Setup and calibration are automated functions that run after the machine has been initial- ized and/or if the pump has been removed and replaced. These rou- tines ensure that the camera nee- dle off sets at different angles and
rotations are known. Contact: ITW EAE, a divi-

HD-380 design is a more com- pact XY stand that has evolved recently, driven by customer de- mand for a more compact solu- tion for inspecting very large boards. The new HD-370 and HD-
380 offer similar features as their conventional HD-170 and HD-180 boom counterparts, but the camera is mounted on a trav- eling beam instead of a traveling boom. Therefore, all movement is contained within the space de-
fined by the XY dimensions. Stands may be configured
for mounting on a bench top (HD-380) or fitted into a rack
(HD-370). Either provides the same high stability and easy movement of the camera over the entire working area. All Inspec- tis cameras feature crucial on- board controls ideal for XY mounting so that single-handed operation of positioning and
zooming is possible. Contact: Ascentech2, LLC,
