July, 2020 hi-TeCh evenTS IPC to Manage and Grow EWPTE

Bannockburn, IL — IPC has been selected to manage the Electrical Wire Processing Technology Expo (EWPTE) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from 2021 through 2025. The change was made to help add new benefits, attract more attendees, increase exhibitor participation, and cultivate a higher level of training, education and engagement seminars for guests and participants. EWPTE, held annually at the

Wisconsin Center, is one of the lead- ing shows for the electrical wire and cable processing industries. The past few years have drawn an expanded

roster of exhibitors and visitors. The 2019 event saw nearly 3,000 atten- dees from 40 states and 25 countries and almost 200 exhibiting companies. Major automotive manufactur-

ers, such as Ford, Fiat Chrysler and General Motors, plus notable interna- tional companies, including Boeing, General Electric, Briggs & Stratton, and Harley-Davidson, sent represen- tatives to the two-day show to see the latest trends, technologies and prod- ucts shaping the future. In addition to IPC providing

Shanghai, China — NEPCON Asia, the electronics production equipment and microelectronics industry exhibi- tion, is scheduled to be held in grand fashion from August 26 to 28 in Shenzhen, China. The exhibition area is expected to

be nearly 700,000 ft2 (65,000m2), mak- ing it the largest NEPCON trade show to date. Six exhibitions come together to form a connected platform for the electronics manufacturing industry. As an international quality exhibition for the industry, nearly 1,000 exhibitors and brands from 38 coun- tries, as well as tens of thousands of buyers, are expected to participate in NEPCON Asia. The exhibition will showcase

solutions for the entire industry sup- ply chain, including PCBs, place- ment, assembly, testing, automotive electronics, and wire and cable har- ness manufacturing. The conference will also showcase current industry

focal points, such as 5G, new infra- structure, industrial internet, and other trends. As a driving force in the wake of

the COVID-19 pandemic, the elec- tronics manufacturing industry is demanding new solutions for indus- trial control, communications, con- sumer electronics, and much more. The Exhibition is offering a “360°

matching service” to match more buy- ers with suppliers. This service spans the entire exhibition from beginning to end with personalized recommenda- tions, business tour guides, one-on-one meetings, and group recommenda- tions. This service is designed to help exhibitors to maintain customer rela- tionships, tap new sales leads and gar- ner new orders. The trade show is also integrat-

sales, event promotion, exhibitor and attendee registration, hotel room contracting, and additional general event administration, IPC will also develop a technical conference com- ponent to the event, as well as host its summer committee meetings, IPC SummerCom, in conjunction with the event. “IPC’s affiliation with the Wiring

Harness Manufacturer’s Association (WHMA) will help to grow EWPTE as a globally recognized trade show,” says David Bergman, executive director, WHMA, and IPC vice presi- dent of standards and technology. “IPC and WHMA look forward to working with Wisconsin Center staff and the EWPTE advisory committee to produce a world-class event for the

wire processing industry.” The next Electrical Wire Proces -

sing Technology Expo will be held May 12 to 13, 2021. “IPC has a proven track record of trade show management,” says Marty Brooks, president and CEO of Wisconsin Center District. “IPC’s annual flag- ship event, IPC APEX Expo, is the largest event in North America for electronics manufacturing and draws attendees and exhibitors from around the world. We believe their expertise will help grow EWPTE as a globally recognized trade show.” Contact: IPC International, Inc.,
