The company’s teams focused on sourc- ing materials, developing plans and producing prototypes of personal protective equipment (PPE) to sup- port the growing demand in the U.S., amid the shortage. PRIDE’s west coast facility is

dustry experience solving manufac- turing challenges for a wide variety of markets with expertise in PCB as- sembly and cable harness produc- tion, testing, general assembly, packaging, warehousing, and distri- bution,” says Lopez. Within weeks, the company had developed models for face shields and was pursuing ventilator manufacturing opportuni- ties with global medical device man- ufacturers. Resources and time have been

time. The team leveraged its connec- tions, and the company repurposed materials available to meet its pro- duction needs. The company is also supporting


current customers choosing to pivot during this time. PRIDE is provid- ing kitting, fulfillment and distribu- tion services nationwide for an exist- ing customer that temporarily shift- ed its focus to manufacturing protec- tive face masks. “We are incredibly grateful to


our employees and customers,” says Lopez. “Our ability to partner dur- ing this time and maintain essential duties and shift focus as needed to support our communities is rooted in the core of PRIDE’s mission.” r


Lopez adds that the company


placed restrictions on travel and en- couraged telecommuting for employ- ees who could meet customer re- quirements from home. The compa- ny disinfects work environments fre- quently and deep-cleans all areas of operation. “In our manufacturing facility,


we re-engineered the production work cells and staggered shifts where applicable. Our safety team put protocols in place to activate quarantines, closures, cleaning, and disinfection procedures based on recommendations by the CDC,” says Lopez. After learning of California governor Gavin Newsom’s statewide stay at home order, PRIDE’s Califor- nia customers were deemed essen- tial, making the company’s services necessary. “Communication was vital at
