Enclosures for Robotics and Lab Automation
Independence, MO — HEMCO’s lat- est enclosures are designed to protect robots and other lab automated processes, by providing exhaust air systems or HEPA-filtered clean workstations. Robots are beneficial for many
applications and are proven to increase efficiency and productivity. Robots integrated into existing
facilities have been shown to in - crease output and improve quality, while providing additional flexibility in the production process. These enclosures guard robotics against contamination and personnel from hazardous fumes. Utilizing a flexible, modular design, the enclosures are built to exact customer size and design requirements. HEMCO offers a wide selection of standard sizes in
vented or HEPA-filtered models. Contact: HEMCO Corp., 711 Powell Road, Independence, MO

XP Power Intros Compact Industrial Power Supplies
Sunnyvale, CA — XP Power has introduced its ECH450 series of com- pact, high-efficiency power sup- plies, available in open-frame or enclosed formats. Delivering 250W when convection cooled and the full 450W when force cooled, the series offers Class B conducted and radiated emis- sions and carries worldwide ITE and medical approvals. It is suitable for a wide range of industrial, ITE and healthcare applications, including those requiring BF patient protection. The convection cooled rat-
ings make the power supplies useful for medical device appli- cations, where audible noise is undesirable, and industrial or ITE applications where fan-less operation increases reliability and minimizes dust ingress. The power supplies minimize
waste heat, with efficiency levels up to 94 percent. They operate at full rated power at ambient tempera- tures up to 122°F (50°C) without der- ating, and at half power at 158°F
(70°C). Peak load applications are supported up to 450W with convec-

Microscope Trade-In Program from Vision Engineering
New Milford, CT — Vision Engineering has launched a micro- scope trade-in program for North America. The program is set up for a trade-in on any microscope. In return, the user will receive a 25 per- cent discount on Mantis eyepiece-less microscopes until the end of August. The program was developed to
help manufacturing companies to upgrade their existing microscopes for an eyepiece-less microscope as they plan workspace and equipment use in order to adhere to new health and safety guidelines. In many cases, microscope oper- ators must share them. When using
a conventional binocular microscope, the user must position themselves very closely to the eyepiece. The eye- pieces then become a surface for cross-contamination. The Mantis range of stereo
microscopes can be shared among users, without direct contact with the system. Safety goggles and masks can be worn when using the eye- piece-less systems without disrupt-
ing productivity and field of view. Contact: Vision Engineering,
