ViscoTec Intros Stainless Steel Kit for eco-PEN Dispensers
Kennesaw, GA — ViscoTec has expanded its preeflow brand by developing a stainless steel kit for the eco-PEN dispensers, 300, 330 and 450. These alterna- tive housing components are now available and in stock. The stainless steel kit is designed to convert a
standard eco-PEN dispenser, replacing the poly- oxymethylene (POM) housing. All wetted parts of the new kits are made of high-quality stainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316L). Various requirements in specific applications
made it necessary for the company to expand its portfo- lio. Some applications require that all parts of the dis- pensing equipment in contact with the product are made of stainless steel, VisChem and FFKM. In other applications, certain components of the
dispensing materials, e.g. solvents or plasticizers, have a negative effect on POM — degradation caused by tem- perature, time and material concen- tration. After extensive testing, these materials were shown to be dis- pensed without any issues.
Thermaltronics Launches Benchtop Solder Robot
Great Neck, NY — Thermaltronics has added a new system to its solder- ing robot lineup, the TMT-R8000S. The system is designed to simplify and automate hand soldering processes with precision ball screws, servo motors and industry-leading software.

ing components, in contact with the product, to be resistant to fluxes for sol- dering, oxidants (peroxides or ozone) or organic and inor- ganic acids below pH 4. And, in some applications, a ro- bust design is necessary, due to frequent cleaning inter- vals.
The stainless steel version is identical to the stan-
dard plastic version. The additional weight, compared to that of the POM version is 3.5 oz (100g) for the eco-PEN
