PICK UP THE KATRIN EASY PICK
Metsä Tissue has launched Katrin Easy Picks, the next generation of self-contained hand towels. Easy Picks are a compact, lightweight and easy to carry hand towel solution for use by any mobile workforce. The new name is a reference to the enhanced sleeve opening, with each sleeve containing towels that are hypo-allergenically tested. The plastic sleeves protect the products from moisture, grease and dirt wherever they are used. The built in dispenser is easy to open and delivers hand towels, one at a time, anywhere, ensuring that Katrin Hand Towels are always at hand.
Almost nine months after the first generation of the Katrin concept was introduced to the UK market, these

LAUNCH FM APP UK-based technology start-up, FaultFixers has launched a new integrated system which allows building users to easily report issues through a smartphone app within 30 seconds, and have that issue sent to the FM, a control centre or directly delegated to an operative for resolution.

The company now operates from four offices: Sunderland, serving the North East; Warrington, serving the North West; Glasgow, serving Scotland; and the most recent addition, Cannock, serving the Midlands.

The offering also includes location tags – each with unique machine- readable codes (QR codes and NFC tags). These are placed in rooms and other locations around the organisation. As well as that, there is an app – available for Apple iOS and Android – which allows building users to scan the location tags and to access information on that location, and report new issues.

Future plans include the creation of a third training centre in Glasgow, to meet the needs of customers north of the border, and a roll- out in 2014 of Toshiba’s expanded training programme, covering the fundamentals of air conditioning, design, installation and commissioning.
There are also plans to expand its recently launched website, to further improve the provision of technical and product information to customers.
