KÄRCHER’S AWARD-WINNING
SCRUBBER DRIER Launched this month, Kärcher’s award-winning BR 35/12 C has raised the bar in the popular compact battery-powered scrubber drier category. With unique features like the Kärcher Advanced Response Technology (KART) steering system and high speed roller brush with pre-sweep tray, the BR 35/12 offers new levels of productivity and convenience for applications like retail and hospitality cleaning, where time is critical. The machine won the coveted Purus Award at the CMS 2013 exhibition in Berlin for its easy and convenient operation.
Thanks to its intuitive steering wheel-style control, the 35/12 offers incredible manoeuvrability and is very easy to handle. All switches are close at hand, especially the brush control which is operated by a paddle-type switch on the back of the steering wheel. And because the 35/12 uses a roller brush instead of a disc, the machine is very easy to push and stays in a straight line.
The vacuum function can be switched off for deeper cleaning, and the eco!efficiency mode reduces water and power consumption, whilst greatly lowering the noise level of the machine – perfect for daytime cleaning.

HECKMONDWIKE FB GETS BIM
APPROVAL Heckmondwike FB has become one of the UK’s first carpet manufacturers to create Building Information Modelling (BIM) objects for its full range of carpets and carpet tiles, in partnership with the NBS National BIM library.
The NBS National BIM library currently contains over 5,000 objects covering all major building fabric systems for walls, ceilings, roofs and floors. It is a free online 3D resource, which is designed to enable sharing of high quality information about the built environment, helping industry professionals to make the right decisions at the right stage of the building process. By utilising manufacturer’s BIM objects, the aim is to create greater and more accurate interrogation of different aspects of a project’s performance. Heckmondwike FB’s website will soon feature a dedicated BIM section, which makes its BIM objects even more accessible for specifiers.

Robert Mortimer, Sales Director for Heckmondwike FB, said: “We wanted to be ahead of the game with BIM because the public sector is one of our major target sectors. It is fantastic to be one of the first flooring manufacturers to feature on
the NBS National BIM Library with over 360 colour BIM objects.”
