INTERCLEAN AMSTERDAM EXPANDS WITH ON-
PREMISE LAUNDRY INTERCLEAN Amsterdam has expanded the scope of the show to meet increased demand, this time growing to include a dedicated area for the On-Premise Laundry (OPL) sector.
This announcement follows the news that the show has expanded to accommodate 12 halls of manufacturers from across the cleaning and hygiene industry.
LESS IS MORE
Less waste, less packaging, and less time spent refilling dispensers – these are among the major benefits of the Tork Coreless Mid-size Toilet Paper system – and the result is more paper, more productivity, and a more sustainable product.
Ian Catchpole, Tork Product Manager, said: “Toilet roll cores have the disadvantage of increasing labour costs because someone has to throw them away or recycle them when the paper has been used up. They also reduce the amount of available paper on a roll.
“Not only are there no cores to dispose of with the Tork Coreless Mid-size Toilet Paper system, there are no plugs or wrappings to discard either – and this makes it a highly sustainable product. And since the rolls last longer between refills than conventional products, labour costs are reduced as well.”
The paper in the Tork Coreless Mid-size system is tightly wound to make the rolls more compact. Two rolls typically last up to five times as long as conventional products. This means that less time is spent refilling and less space is required to accommodate them.
Studies comparing average waste of Tork Coreless versus conventional toilet rolls (in an office building with 1300 employees) showed that facilities can reduce the amount of waste they produce from toilet paper supplies by 88% when switching to the new Coreless Mid-size system.
Ian continued: “By choosing Tork Coreless, companies are helping to meet their sustainability targets while also freeing up time for cleaners to carry out more value-added tasks.”
The Tork Coreless Mid-size Toilet Paper System is now available in Tork Elevation dispensers which come in both black and white. This means they can form part of a cohesive system of matching washroom units – and it’s even compatible with Tork EasyCube.

The OPL area will feature 16 stands to give manufacturers and vendors a platform for showcasing their products, equipment and services, and allow attendees to explore their options with regards to improving the quality of their laundry services.
With new, more cost-effective equipment hitting the market, many companies are re-evaluating whether bringing laundry in-house can reduce operational costs and put in place measures to meet sustainability targets.
Schulthess, Schneidereit, and Alliance Laundry have already registered to exhibit at the event, with a wide array of washing machines, dryers,
accessories and laundry supplies set to feature on display in the OPL area.
Rob den Hertog, Director of INTERCLEAN, commented: “Having already sold 95% of the floor space available for INTERCLEAN Amsterdam 2018, it’s remarkable that we still have demand for more from a range of businesses. The OPL section will provide a welcome new addition to the event, expanding our attendees’ access to innovative laundry equipment and services.”
INTERCLEAN Amsterdam 2018 will take place from 15-18 May 2018 at RAI Amsterdam.
