IMPACT43 is in the gutter!
Leading window cleaning training company, IMPACT43, has designed a brand new Gutter Cleaning Training Course. Starting in April 2012, the course will cover the legal operational needs when using innovative telescopic gutter maintenance vacuum systems. These are state-of-the-art, portable systems that include remote CCTV inspection capabilities.
This course is vital for anyone using either water-fed pole or gutter vacuum cleaning. Since 1974 it has been a legal requirement for employers to train employees, and since 1998 it has been a legal

This means that companies and individuals using this kind of equipment without training are actually trading illegally, and if things go wrong the consequences may be severe.

State-of-the-art new facilities at Scot Young Research have brought training in the manual cleaning industry into the 21st Century.

It can handle anything from DVDs to laptop presentations, with internet available. There are two radio mics for use by those giving presentations and the system is even 3D capable!
This is the only fully functioning conference centre of its kind in the West Midlands and is

In 2005/06 falls from height accounted for 46 fatal accidents at work and around 3,350 major injuries. Such falls remain the single biggest cause of workplace deaths, and they are also one of the principal causes of major injury.
The new IMPACT course covers: the legal duties of companies and cleaners, possible consequences for property owners/the self-employed/employees if they employ a contractor to clean gutters and he or she falls from a ladder, reasons to ICC (Inspect, Clear and Clean), manual handling issues, maintenance of the systems and how to avoid repetitive strain injuries.
