The British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) board is pleased to announce the appointment of Gareth Tancred as CEO of the Institute, with immediate effect.


The announcement comes after a meeting of the BIFM Board on 23rd February at which the motion was approved. Gareth has been carrying out the role on an acting then interim basis since October 2011 and has been Chief Operating Officer with the Institute since 2009.


Ismena Clout is also to be the 11th Chair of BIFM. Ismena will officially become Chair on 12th July 2012 at the BIFM Annual General Meeting (AGM),


taking over from current Chair, Ian Broadbent, and start a two-year tenure leading the Institute.


BIFM can also announce the appointment of Liz Kentish as Deputy Chair, a role which will also become effective on 12th July 2012.
