THE IT PLACE TO BE

IN WITH THE NEW

Software analytics company New Relic celebrated the launch of a new European headquarters in Dublin. The company opened its first European headquarters in Dublin in 2014 and has since grown its team to about 100 employees. Its new space at 31-36 Golden Lane is expected to provide the local Ireland team the space to grow up to 300 team members as well as provide state-of-the-art facilities for hosting customers, meetups, and connecting with the local community. In addition to growing its team in Ireland, New Relic has opened offices across Europe to support its ongoing customer growth, including in London, Munich, and Zurich, as well as launching

its European Development Centre in Barcelona. newrelic.com

Cork has witnessed a 63 per cent increase in employment in tech companies in the last five years, with 13,000 workers currently employed in 61 IDA Ireland support companies in the region. Speaking at the it@ Cork AGM earlier this year, Caroline O’Driscoll, Chair of it@Cork (pictured) said, “It is without doubt that Cork’s ICT sector is playing a key role in the economic engine of this city and county; 86 per cent of our member companies are planning employment growth in the next three years, and a remarkable 22 per cent of those companies are planning job growth of at least 25 per cent. Entrepreneurship is pivotal to the successes we are currently witnessing in the 59 Enterprise Ireland supported companies located here.” it@Cork says the pace of growth and opportunity for development are strong. Cork has over 1 million sq ft of office space coming

on stream in the next 12 months, with office rentals averaging half of Dublin prices. itcork.ie
