DESIGN

PRAMERICA The Rock campus in Letterkenny, Co Donegal, is the

custom-built home of Pramerica Services and 1,200 employees, whose opinions were surveyed before designing the building. Solar panels produce up to 16 per cent of the total power needs of the offices, and supply two electric car charging points. Other features include a 100-seater theatre-style venue, with media streaming capacity allowing employees to watch events from their desk or home; Market Square (named after the local town square), an informal chill out space specifically positioned to attract traffic onto the senior management floor to create an inclusive atmosphere; the Wave Innovation Lab which has tech and media facilities to host brainstorming, ideation sessions and hack days; and a fully-equipped gym open 24/7. pramerica.ie

LINKEDIN LinkedIn’s EMEA

HQ opened its doors in Dublin in September 2017, and significantly, is the first build to be commissioned by the company. AECOM with RKD Architects delivered design and project management for the new sustainable 17,600m2 development, with capacity for over 1,000 staff over six floors. It is designed to a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold standard owing to its various sustainable attributes including an innovative drainage system and rainwater harvesting to reduce the demand on public water supply. The building includes a commercial kitchen and restaurant, gym and wellness centre, music room, bike parking for 250 bikes, electric car charging points, and roof terrace. Commissioned artworks in the interior include a depiction of the LinkedIn logo by fine art weaver Áine Dunne. linkedin.com
