INDIA BUSINESS ASSOCIATION
THE IRELAND- The IIBA was founded in
2008 to foster commercial links between Irish and Indian businesses. As a
member-driven non-profit organisation, the IIBA
facilitates knowledge-sharing and networking among Irish and Indian business
communities. The Association provides valuable networking and influencing opportunities to members and regular
networking events, and is now the leading representative business and networking organisation in Ireland for
companies interested in these two markets.
Airlines, with four flights per week (two direct flights and a further two stopping to pick up passengers in Edinburgh). June also saw Cathay Pacific’s inaugural
Dublin-Hong Kong flights take to the skies, with four non-stop flights per week serving the route. With Bank of China opening a new Dublin
branch last year–focusing on corporate lending–Ireland is now home to three of the top four Chinese banks, a sign of the growing importance of economic relations between Ireland and China, and the growing base of potential clients as more Chinese companies set up in Ireland. Martin Shanahan said, “Chinese companies are
now looking to
internationalise their businesses and are viewing Ireland as the ‘gateway to Europe’ with a proven track record of being consistent, transparent and competitive.”
