WSMA News x Festival Dates & Locations

Festival managers should view and submit 2021–22 WSMA District Festival dates and locations at wsmamusic.org/ festivals/dates. Submission of information will ensure that the festival manager is copied on all critical festival related communications, the festival is included on the website calendar and that preliminary judges are assigned during the first round of contracts.

Middle Level State Honors Music Project

October event information, including location, tentative schedule and concert times, is now available at wsmamusic. org/ML-Honors. Congratulations to all teachers with selected students! Music was mailed to students in July, please be sure to assist in their preparations for the fall concert. Concert tick- ets will be available for purchase online in early September and at the door.

x WSMA Adjudicator Workshops

WSMA continually strives to provide the best festival experi- ence possible to students, teachers and parents. To maintain a qualified team of trained adjudicators, WSMA encourages interested music teachers to attend a free training workshop to become a WSMA adjudicator.

WSMA adjudicators make a significant impact on students and music teachers that continues long after the music festival is

over. Your experiences as an adjudicator will also be inspiring and influential as you prepare your own students for festivals.

Current adjudicators are expected to attend a free training workshop once every four years to maintain and/or improve his/her adjudication status. View and register for the 2021-22 workshops at wsmamusic.org/adjudicator-center/workshop- registration.
