Professional Learning & Workshops
Fall/Winter Announcements (and more to come!)
There was a lot of activity this summer at the Wisconsin Center for Music Education, Monona Terrace, and online as we engaged in professional learning in many ways. In all, over 150 teachers were involved in topics such as Com- prehensive Musicianship Through Performance, WMEA Wisconsin Music Standards, Hip-Hop Pedagogy, and Drumming… just to name a few! This is also the first time where we had multiple participants both nationally and internationally participate in our online learning. Addition- ally, we worked with other organizations such as PBS Wis- consin and SankofaSongs to bring relevant opportunities to Wisconsin music educators through partnerships and new relationships.
We would like to share our appreciation with instructors and facilitators who were knowledgeable and helpful.
We are gearing up for another great year, and this fall our focus is on the 2021 Wisconsin State Music Conference with additional opportunities to come. You can always see when new workshops and professional learning opportuni- ties are added at
