middle level state honors music project
2021 Middle Level State Honors Erica Ruppert, WSMA Program Director
I
In preparation for the 2021 WSMA Middle Level State Honors Project October event, the Middle Level State Honors staff met at the Wisconsin Center for Music Edu- cation in July. The meeting allowed the coordinators and staff members to meet new staff, review the staff expectations for October and prepare the communication and music mailings that were sent to the invited students in late July.
Over 250 young musicians have been invited to participate in the 2021 WSMA Middle Level State Honors ensembles. These students have the opportunity to
experience an unbelievable amount of musical growth and development that af- fects how they think about and play music for the rest of their life. WSMA is grate- ful for the dedication and commitment of the teachers who encourage students to audition and help make this experience possible.
Conductors for the 2021 honors ensembles include Dr. Erika Svanoe (band), Dr. Gary Packwood (choir) and Dr. Rebecca MacLeod (orchestra).
Biographies for
