High School State Honors Band Staff
Scott A. Jones, associate professor of music and associate director of university bands at The Ohio State University in Columbus Ohio, is the conductor of the 2018 WSMA High School State Honors Band. Marti Fults from Wisconsin Dells High School is the band coordinator and clarinet section coach. Other section coaches include Brenda Gauchel from G-E-T High School (flute/ piccolo/oboe), Nathan Gerlach from Cambridge High School (low woodwinds), Catherine Kuehn from Kettle Moraine Middle School in Dousman (trumpet/horn), James Dorschner from Osh- kosh North School (low brass) and Brad Klotz from Lake Mills Middle School (percussion).

High School State Honors Orchestra Staff

Other section coaches include John Emanuelson from Homestead High School in Mequon (violin 1), Elizabeth Daily from McKinley Elementary School (violin 2), Dana Federmeyer from New Berlin West High School (viola), Troy Birdsong from Onalaska (string bass), Paul Oestreich from Saint Francis High School (woodwinds), Carrie Backman from Edgewood High School in Madison (brass) and Dan Duffy from Waukesha West High School (percussion).

Edith Copley, Regents’ professor and director of choral stud- ies at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona is the conductor of the 2018 WSMA High School State Honors Treble Choir. Tasha Igielski from Pewaukee High School is the treble choir coordinator and soprano 1 section coach. Other section coaches include Heather Thorpe from Verona Area High School (soprano 2), Kathryn MacRae from Lodi High School (alto 1), Bridge Duffy-Ulrich from Oshkosh North High School (alto 2) and Kira Morrissey of Iola-Scandinavia High School is the treble choir accompanist.
