Analytical Instrumentation Automated External Filtration System for Carbon Black

and Other Additives of Small Particle Size in Polyolefins Polymer Char’s External Filtration System, EFS is a breakthrough in external filtration, currently being the only automated system in the market capable of completely eliminating carbon black from samples in an effective and safe process. This automated apparatus also eliminates rests of catalysts and other additives of small-particle size that may be present in polyolefin samples.

The process is fast, easy and safe for the user since there is no solvent handling and no manual transfer of vials involved. It takes about 2 minutes for the sample to be clean and ready to be injected into the GPC instrument. After each filtration process, another one can be started right away, minimising the user’s dedication to the filtration tasks, which usually are tedious and consume significant amounts of time within the daily laboratory operations.

Thanks to its smart design, the solution travels through disposable cartridges only, so no-cross contamination may occur and no vapors are released to the ambient since the solvent circulates through a closed- circuit only; unlike the manual and traditional method that uses glass-fiber filters, or the available semi-automated equipment from other providers.

incorporated with the HRT’s powerful high resolution technology for expanded analytical capabilities and improved confidence in the analysis of the most complex samples. New software features automatically identify sulphur, nitrogen, and oxygen containing species allowing you to understand the quality of a product or an input to your process. Updated, modernised hardware meets or exceeds all global compliancy regulations, while Encoded Frequent Pushing™ (EFP™) provides increases in both sensitivity and dynamic range by factors of ten. EFP works in conjunction with the proven Folded Flight Path®

significantly increasing performance easily storing multiple spectra inside the FFP at once. 44177pr@reply-direct.com

Already Our Most Successful Year!

The 4th quartal has just began and TE Instruments has already exceed the sales of last year, again! Our market sales this year has reached over 25% of the world market for elemental combustion analysers in the industrial and petrochemical industry. This success has been accomplished by a continuing focus on providing our customers and distributors, all over the world, the required service & support. With our team of more than 40 personnel we are, each year, expanding our global operations and demanding our highly-skilled employees to exceed the expectations of the market.

We have made continued investment into our support and training to enhance communication with our distributors and improve the way we meet customer requirements.

The high requirements of our customers are also the standards for our analyser, the XPLORER-series.

TE Instruments created a compact and user-friendly analyser for fast and precise analysis of Nitrogen, Sulfur and Chloride in solids, liquids, gases and LPG’s. Appreciated by customers is the option for the easy upgrades to solid, liquid and gas & LPG auto samplers and the possibility to switch from liquid to boat introduction, and vice versa, in under 30 seconds.

In the Petrochemical market we see a growing demand for our Nitrogen & Sulfur analyser, the XPLORER-NS, which is able to analyse these components simultaneously. Due to our smart design and techniques, our system will not be influenced by cross-interferences.

Overall, it’s clear TE Instruments continues to go from good to best and we fully anticipate continuing our positive trajectory. We have some exciting ideas underway and look forward to reveal more in 2018.

Teledyne Leeman Labs offers a complete line of analytical instrumentation for elemental analysis including Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) Spectrometers, Mercury Analysers including cold vapor atomic adsorption (CVAA), cold vapor atomic fluorescence (CVAF) and Atomic Absorption with Thermal Decomposition for solid sample analysis.

Teledyne Leeman Labs has manufactured and supported a direct combustion mercury analyser, the Hydra IIc. By quantifying environmental mercury contamination, the dangers of human and/or industrial exposure can be adequately assessed. The Hydra IIC, due to its modular design, has some unique capabilities such as measuring mercury isotopes. The systems modular design allows for configuration with an ICP-MS system for a streamlined approach to mercury isotope determination in virtually any sample. The Hydra IIC mercury analyzer is now capable of analysis in the standard combustion mode (CAA) and the volatile hydrocarbon combustion mode (CAAVHC). The CAAVHC mode enables the Hydra IIc to determine the mercury concentration in light to heavy petroleum distillates, various refined oils, raw petroleum products and other highly volatile samples. The detection and concertation determination of mercury in petroleum distillates, crude oil and other naturally occurring hydrocarbons is of the utmost importance due to environmental and distillation technological issues refineries face head on every day.
