Reversed Phase LC Column Selection Tool and Online Application


Phenomenex, Inc introduces the Reversed Phase Column Screener, a resource that helps chromatographers select the most effective HPLC or UHPLC column for their methods from the company’s extensive offering. Phenomenex provides a wide range of reversed phase columns, including flagship brands Kinetex®


, Gemini-NX® , Jupiter® , Luna® , Synergi® , Axia™ and Onyx™. Based on decades of customer support and


research, the Reversed Phase Column Screener allows users to search by compound characteristics, pharmacopeia classification, column used, or application. The comprehensive tool provides a convenient way to reference and access application notes on the Phenomenex web site.


When the chromatographer enters compound characteristics, the Screener will provide primary and secondary recommendations for fully porous particle columns with complementary selectivities, and a core-shell particle option for ultra-high performance. Recommended mobile phase starting conditions are also provided. Users in the United States can order columns directly from this site.


Chromatographers who search by application will find a range of options including amino acids, food additives, veterinary drugs and steroids. Once a relevant application has been identified, a complete method note is provided. Users may also search by USP classification to determine which columns they can use to stay within method guidelines.

Launch of High Performance GC CARE Gas Chromatography Column Product Line


Bruker has significantly expanded its gas chromatography (GC) solutions with the release of Bruker GC CARE gas chromatography columns. These new highest quality GC columns offer Bruker's GC and GC-MS customers a wide variety of column chemistries. The Bruker GC CARE columns and consumables are ideally designed for applications in petrochemical, environmental testing, food safety, flavor and fragrance analysis, as well as pharmaceutical applications. The extensive choice of Bruker GC CARE columns includes WCOT, PLOT, Inert Steel Capillary, and a complete range of packed columns. Capillary columns are available from 0.25mm to 0.53mm ID. Stationary phase coatings include a wide variety, from the non-polar BR-1 up to highly polar wax phases. For uncompromised chromatographic resolution in fast-GC or GC/MS applications, smaller internal diameter columns are available in multiple dimensions (0.10, 0.15 and 0.18mm).


A specific GC-MS GC columns product range is also available to meet the extreme low bleed requirements for high sensitivity GC/MS applications. For gas analysis GC applications that require high selectivity separations, a


range of PLOT columns can be utilised.
