Tank You to a Great Executive Director Sherri Farley began working for the

Yorkville Area Chamber of Commerce in 2008. Originally hired as events

coordinator and given the task of creating the Chamber’s Rivernight Festival, she became the executive director in March 2009. “I don’t know how exactly this Chamber was so lucky to get her for the job. I believe she is exactly the right person,” says Don Duffy, long-time member of the Board of Directors. He isn’t the only one

who sings the praises of the Chamber’s executive director. If you ask anyone who knows or works with her, you are

likely to get a similar answer. “I think we can all agree she is the

heart and soul of the Chamber,” says Sarah Allen, FNBC Bank & Trust, who is in her second term as president of the Chamber Board, and has been a member of the Chamber for 12 years. “She goes above and

beyond for the Chamber. She works so hard to make every Chamber member happy and thriving during this pandemic. She has personally reached out to people and worked long hours, all behind the scenes. I have a lot of

respect for her.” “Sherri is one of the classiest, most professional leaders in the community,”

says Tom Kozlowicz, member and past president of the Chamber Board. “I belong to several Chambers and I truly believe we have the absolutely single best one.” Former Board President Greg

Millen calls Sherri an “amazing leader.” “Her leadership fuels this Chamber,”

he says. New Board member Heather

Johnson says Sherri is dynamic. “She is so organized. She communicates. She is a wonderful asset. She really brings spirit to the Chamber. She shows so much kindness to everyone who comes through the door. Te Chamber wouldn’t be the same without her.” It takes a great leader to have a great

Chamber. We salute Sherri Farley and thank her for all she has done to make the Yorkville Area Chamber of Commerce a success.
