Senior promotion announced at Nelsons law firm
Leicester law firm Nelsons has promoted one of its wills and probate specialist solicitors to the position of legal director. Nadia Faki – who joined Nelsons
as an associate in 2017 and has 13 years of experience – graduated from the University of Derby in 2005 with a degree in business management and law. A year later, she attained a graduate diploma from De Montfort University before she completed her legal practice course (LPC) in 2007. Nadia has previously worked at
Leicestershire-based law firm Lawson West, qualifying as a solicitor in 2009 and progressing through the ranks to become head of wills and probate three years prior to joining Nelsons. Nadia specialises in will drafting, inheritance tax planning, administration of estates and powers of attorney. She said: “I joined Nelsons to
enhance my career to the next level while gaining more knowledge and experience. As a senior associate, my role has involved providing a
great service to my clients, ensuring they are happy and supporting them through very difficult times. “In my new position as legal
director, I will focus on building an incredible team in the Leicester office. I am also excited for the opportunity to focus more on business development, building relationships and networking with other professionals.” Nadia is one of six people to be
promoted to the new legal director role at Nelsons, a top 200 law firm that also has offices in Nottingham and Derby. Stewart Vandermark, chief

A Derby accountancy and business advice company has recruited its fourth new team member in the past 12 months. Vibrant Accountancy, based
in Duffield Road, has welcomed Katie Hirst, a mum-of-three who will take care of the company’s book-keeping, accounts and payroll. She joins Vibrant co-founders
Ian Ball and Beverley Wakefield, chief book-keeper Samantha Carter-Roe, office co-ordinator Lynn McCabe and head of accounting Emma Vicars. “Katie has great values and

Trentbarton appoints two new managers
Two key managers have joined trentbarton to lead the bus company’s commercial operations and its marketing and communications. Ross Hitchcock is trentbarton’s
new commercial manager and Matt Holton is the marketing and communications manager. Ross joins from Stagecoach
Oxfordshire, where he worked in the commercial team for 14 years, most recently as commercial manager. He said: “Joining trentbarton is
an exciting opportunity. It is a company that has an excellent reputation in our industry. “Its size means it is able to
constantly innovate and is widely recognised across public transport as being creative. This is a challenging time for the bus sector but trentbarton has the ability to quickly adapt to the road ahead.” Matt, from Derby, has joined
