Design firm boosts surgery’s online profile

Design agency Mangoslice has raised the online profile of an Essex-based NHS surgery by creating a new “information-rich” website – and now it hopes to share its expertise with East Midlands-based practices. The Leicester-based agency was commissioned to design a new website

for Greenwood Surgery in Essex, which has trebled the surgery’s online traffic and reduced the resolution time for phone queries by over 70%. Mangoslice – which also has an office in London – was given a brief to

design an easy-to-use, informative and freshly branded website to reduce the bulk of calls via the surgery’s direct line during the Covid-19 pandemic.

‘Our digital approach has set best practice for other surgeries to follow’

Creative director Amit Makwana said: “The team at Mangoslice

understands the importance of effective, timely and engaging communication, especially during this pandemic. Our digital approach has set best practice for other surgeries to follow and we were pleased to deliver on this project.” Greenwood Surgery in Chelmsford, Essex, serves around 6,200 patients

and saw a surge in demand for its services and resources when the Covid- 19 pandemic hit. It sought the help of Mangoslice to improve its online accessibility to relieve the demand on its staff.

Athlete signs 10- year HUUB deal

Team GB triathlete Tom Bishop and HUUB have announced a 10-year partnership – with the athlete set to race for the brand for the rest of his career. Tom, one of Great Britain’s top triathletes, has committed to his role as an ambassador of Derby-based triathlon and cycling brand HUUB. Tom has worked with HUUB

ever since he progressed from being a junior to elite athlete in 2013. A member of the British triathlon squad, he has represented his country on more than 70 occasions at Olympic and middle triathlon distances. Tom said: “HUUB has been

an extraordinary partner for me throughout my career. To know that I will race the remainder of my professional career with the brand is great.” Dean Jackson, founder and

owner of HUUB, added: “Partnering with Tom for the rest of his career was a natural step for HUUB. He has consistently performed as one of the top GB athletes but has also become part of the HUUB family.”

18 business networkMarch 2021 Dr Mistry, surgery GP partner at Greenwood Surgery, said: “Mangoslice

was able to adapt to the specific needs that we required within the NHS and created something more amazing then we could have hoped for. I had never realised the importance of a mobile-friendly website until ours was made.” The Covid-19 pandemic has strained general practices across the UK and

Amit believes strengthening the digital platforms of NHS services by focusing on patient experience is key to reducing pressure on health staff. “For Greenwood Surgery, adapting and focusing on patient needs

through a stronger digital platform has reaped results for its staff,” added Amit. “We want to share our experience from this project with services in East Midlands to help our NHS surgeries ease pressure off its staff in 2021 and beyond.”

Yappl partner with cricket club

Derbyshire County Cricket Club has named Yappl as its mobile telecommunications partner until the end of 2022. Yappl, the business-to-business

arm of Alfreton-based A1 Comms, supplies EE-connected mobiles to the club’s playing, coaching and operational team. This new sponsorship cements a relationship with the cricket club that stretches back over many years. Steve Heald, managing director of Yappl, said: “We are delighted to

support other businesses, particularly ones with such deep community affiliations as Derbyshire County Cricket Club. “We also know how hard the

cricket club works on bringing local businesses together through initiatives such as its 1870 Business Club. “This sponsorship gives us a

great opportunity to give back to the community while providing the connections to showcase our great products and services.”

Ryan Duckett, Derbyshire

County Cricket Club chief executive, said: “We have had a brilliant long-term relationship with A1 Comms, which is further strengthened through our partnership with Yappl. “Yappl provides a superb service

and products at a very competitive rate and is a great local company so there are plenty of wins. “It is a boost to know we will be

moving forward with them over the next two years.”
