Antti Mäkinen to take over as chairman of Stora Enso


Antti Mäkinen is expected to be elected as chairman of Stora Enso at the paper maker’s annual general meeting om 19 March, while Håkan Buskhe will become vice-chair. Rantanen and Vanamo swap jobs at Metsä Group’s mills in Finland


Janne Rantanen will be taking over as manager of the Metsä Group’s Rauma pulp mill from the beginning of April. With a masters degree in engineering and currently technical manager of Metsä’s bioproduct mill at Äänekoski, Rantanen will be managing a mill, located on the west coast of Finland, with capacity to produce 650,000 tonnes of pulp a year. At the same time, Rauma’s manager Ari-Pekka Vanamo will be taking over as technical manager at Äänekoski bioproduct mill, which is the largest wood- processing plant in the northern hemisphere, yearly producing 1.3 million tonnes of softwood and birch pulp for board, tissue and printing paper and speciality products.
